Machine Washing Graphic Tees & Sweatshirts/Hoodies

When it comes to washing printed shirts, gentleness is key. Harsh detergents, warm water, and aggressive washing can all cause cracking, fading, and premature deterioration of graphics. To clean tees safely:

  1. Pre-treat any stains by gently dabbing with a stain remover or natural solution like diluted vinegar. Never aggressively scrub printed areas.
  2. Use a mild, gentle detergent without added bleach or fabric softener. Look for cleaners specially formulated for delicates or sensitive skin.
  3. Turn shirts inside out to protect the design from pilling and friction. Turning them inside out prevents damage from contact with other items.
  4. Wash in cold water on a gentle or delicate cycle. Warm water can cause fading, and hot water damages prints. Cold water is ideal.

Washing Embroidered Clothing

  1. Machine wash: Use a delicate cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Avoid bleach and brighteners. Turn the item inside out. Remove immediately after the cycle ends.
  2. Hand wash: Soak in cold water and mild detergent for 15–20 minutes, then rinse. Avoid rubbing the embroidery directly.
  3. Drying: We recommend air drying your hoodies for best results. Our polyester embroidery thread is durable but excessive heat can cause material shrinkage and possible damage to the design from making contact with other objects in the dryer including the dryer itself.
  4. Check for loose threads before washing and make sure any loose threads are secured.
  5. Avoid steam and ironing directly on the embroidery. Use a pressing cloth or iron on the reverse side.
  6. Be cautious with certain items placed along with embroidered items in the wash. Don't wash embroidered items with zippers or buttons that could snag the embroidery causing damage.
  7. Lastly, It's okay to spot treat any stains, but avoid scrubbing the embroidery directly. Skip any harsh additives like bleach and brighteners. Turn the embroidered item inside out before washing.
